C = 90/9

C = 10

General Observations:

Measurements -
  • Bur oak tree branch - 48 inches
  • inches to centimeters conversion -
2.54n = c

2.54(48) = c

c = 121.92

  • bur oak tree branch = 121.92 cm
  • water depth: 13.5 inches:
    • inches to centimeters conversion -
    2.54n = c
    2.54(13.5) = c
    c = 34.29 cm
  • water temperature: 10° Celsius

Biota -
I took this recording of a bird I heard, but I am still in the process of figuring out what the species is.  I will update my blog when I find out.

  • 2 bur oak trees
  • common white-tailed dragonfly
  • common green foxtail
  • common virtuoso katydid
  • wild daisy
  • miscellaneous bugs that flew by quickly and were therefore unidentifiable

Other pictures of unknown biota:

Differences from previous months -

  • Seasonal changes:
    • The temperature is much higher, it is almost summer!
    • There were so many more bugs all over the place
    • There were more grasses next to the creek
  • My ecosystem has made a full circle, and is now the way it was when I started observing it at the end of last year.
